El Vicio Producciones Presents…
Final presentation from an exclusive acting workshop. From Colombia to New York, from 1985 to now — a story that doesn’t leave you. Featuring select invited artists.
EL BAILE DE LOS QUE SOBRAN is an original pop opera written and directed by Charlie Zen that, through the greatest hits of Spanish-language music from the ’80s and ’90s, follows two generations united by the same dream: finding a place in the world.
From a Colombia marked by the tragedies of 1985 to New York City in 2001, a group of young artists will discover that success has a price — and that one generation’s decisions can forever change the destiny of the next.
“A vibrant, heartfelt work about belonging and resistance, memory and celebration — arriving in New York ready to move, provoke and resonate.”
With more than 18 actors on stage, live musicians, and a staging that fuses theater, dance, and iconic musical anthems, EL BAILE DE LOS QUE SOBRAN is a story about friendship, love, hope, and the fight not to become one of the ones left behind.
